Wyoming
Virtual IOP for Deaver.
Deaver, a small but resilient town in Big Horn County, Wyoming, is home to a close-knit community that often faces unique challenges related to mental health and substance use disorders. As a rural area, access to specialized care can be limited, making Virtual Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) a vital resource for residents seeking support. This program offers the chance to receive comprehensive treatment without the need to travel far from home.
The Redpoint Center's Virtual IOP is designed specifically for those in Deaver and surrounding areas, providing essential mental health and substance use disorder services. With sessions available in the mornings and evenings, participants can conveniently balance their recovery with work, school, and family commitments. This flexibility allows for a more integrated approach to care, tailored to the needs of the community.
At The Redpoint Center, we employ a comprehensive treatment strategy that addresses a wide range of mental health conditions, including anxiety and depressive disorders, as well as substance use disorders and co-occurring issues. Our evidence-based modalities, like CBT, DBT, EMDR, and ACT, are led by licensed professionals dedicated to providing trauma-informed care.
Distance is the recurring problem, not the exception. A narrative review of 15 studies of telehealth across rural American communities found improved access, lower travel cost and time, and higher patient satisfaction, including access to care those residents could not otherwise obtain. Our Virtual IOP across Wyoming is built around that reality, and it runs the same way in Deaver as it does anywhere else in the state.
Substance use and mental health
What we treat.
Mental health conditions on their own, substance use, and the two together. The same care, and the same evidence-based modalities, as in our Colorado offices.
In session
What your week looks like.
Sessions run three to five days a week, mornings or evenings, so the schedule can be built around shift work, seasonal work, school, or childcare.
Individual therapy
One-to-one sessions with your primary clinician, focused on what you are actually working on.
Group therapy
Live groups with the same peers each week. Nothing is pre-recorded, and that steady room is a large part of why the format holds up.
Family support
Sessions built to strengthen the people around you, run on video when they live an hour of driving apart.
Recovery coaching
Practical, trauma-informed support alongside the clinical hours, aimed at the week between sessions.
Access and privacy
Why this format fits Deaver.
Choosing The Redpoint Center means partnering with a team that understands the unique challenges faced by residents of Deaver. We prioritize local accessibility and ensure our services are HIPAA-compliant, allowing for secure and confidential treatment.
The obvious worry about a screen is that it buys a lesser version of the program. The evidence does not support that. A systematic review of telemedicine for substance use treatment covering 13 studies, 7 of them randomized controlled trials, found no significant difference in substance use outcomes between in-person and telehealth care, with treatment satisfaction and therapeutic alliance generally comparable. The American Psychological Association describes the same pattern in mental health care, where telehealth is essentially as effective as face-to-face psychotherapy, with higher retention.
Clinicians work in cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, EMDR, and acceptance and commitment therapy, chosen around what you are actually working on rather than a fixed curriculum. Privacy tends to weigh heavier in a small community, where a truck parked outside a clinic is its own announcement, and attending from a space you choose removes that problem entirely. Our in-person IOP page sets out what intensive outpatient care involves in full.
