Wyoming
Virtual IOP for Big Piney.
Big Piney, nestled in the heart of Sublette County, is a close-knit community that faces unique challenges in accessing mental health and addiction services. Here, may find it difficult to seek help for issues such as anxiety, depression, and substance use disorders. The Redpoint Center's Virtual Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) offers a solution that meets the needs of those living in rural areas, ensuring that support is within reach.
Our Virtual IOP program is tailored for Big Piney residents and surrounding communities, providing essential mental health and substance use services through a secure online platform. With sessions available in the morning and evening, individuals can easily fit treatment into their busy lives, balancing work, school, and family obligations while receiving the care they need.
The Redpoint Center adopts a comprehensive approach to treatment, addressing a range of mental health conditions, from PTSD and OCD to major depressive disorders and substance use challenges. Utilizing evidence-based modalities like CBT, DBT, EMDR, and ACT, our licensed therapists and recovery coaches are dedicated to supporting your journey to recovery.
Distance is the recurring problem, not the exception. A narrative review of 15 studies of telehealth across rural American communities found improved access, lower travel cost and time, and higher patient satisfaction, including access to care those residents could not otherwise obtain. Our Virtual IOP across Wyoming is built around that reality, and it runs the same way in Big Piney as it does anywhere else in the state.
Substance use and mental health
What we treat.
Mental health conditions on their own, substance use, and the two together. The same care, and the same evidence-based modalities, as in our Colorado offices.
In session
What your week looks like.
Sessions run three to five days a week, mornings or evenings, so the schedule can be built around shift work, seasonal work, school, or childcare.
Individual therapy
One-to-one sessions with your primary clinician, focused on what you are actually working on.
Group therapy
Live groups with the same peers each week. Nothing is pre-recorded, and that steady room is a large part of why the format holds up.
Family support
Sessions built to strengthen the people around you, run on video when they live an hour of driving apart.
Recovery coaching
Practical, trauma-informed support alongside the clinical hours, aimed at the week between sessions.
Access and privacy
Why this format fits Big Piney.
Choosing The Redpoint Center means opting for a treatment provider that understands the unique needs of Big Piney residents. Our licensed professionals are committed to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care in a secure, HIPAA-compliant environment.
The obvious worry about a screen is that it buys a lesser version of the program. The evidence does not support that. A systematic review of telemedicine for substance use treatment covering 13 studies, 7 of them randomized controlled trials, found no significant difference in substance use outcomes between in-person and telehealth care, with treatment satisfaction and therapeutic alliance generally comparable. The American Psychological Association describes the same pattern in mental health care, where telehealth is essentially as effective as face-to-face psychotherapy, with higher retention.
Clinicians work in cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, EMDR, and acceptance and commitment therapy, chosen around what you are actually working on rather than a fixed curriculum. Privacy tends to weigh heavier in a small community, where a truck parked outside a clinic is its own announcement, and attending from a space you choose removes that problem entirely. Our in-person IOP page sets out what intensive outpatient care involves in full.
