Colorado
Virtual IOP for Sedalia.
As a quaint community nestled in Douglas County, Sedalia, Colorado, offers a tight-knit environment for its residents. However, mental health and substance use challenges can impact individuals in small towns just as profoundly as in larger cities. That’s why The Redpoint Center’s Virtual Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is invaluable for Sedalia residents seeking support and flexibility in their treatment.
Our Virtual IOP is designed to accommodate those living in Sedalia and surrounding areas, ensuring that anyone seeking help can access our services without the hassle of long commutes. With sessions scheduled in the mornings and evenings, participants can easily balance work, family, and recovery.
The Redpoint Center provides a comprehensive approach to mental health and addiction treatment, focusing on anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, and substance use issues. Our evidence-based modalities, including CBT, DBT, EMDR, and ACT, are used by licensed professionals to foster healing. We also accept most major insurance plans, making recovery more accessible for Sedalia residents.
The barrier here is usually the clock rather than the map. Intensive outpatient care asks for three to five sessions a week, and once a commute is attached to each one, the program starts competing with a shift, a pickup time, or a caregiving hour it was never going to win. Our Virtual IOP across Colorado removes the drive, which for most people is the part that made the schedule impossible.
Substance use and mental health
What we treat.
Mental health conditions on their own, substance use, and the two together. The same care, and the same evidence-based modalities, we provide in our Colorado offices.
In session
What your week looks like.
Sessions run three to five days a week, mornings or evenings, so the schedule can be built around work, school, or childcare.
Individual therapy
One-to-one sessions with your primary clinician, focused on what you are actually working on.
Group therapy
Live groups with the same peers each week. Nothing is pre-recorded, and that steady room is a large part of why the format holds up.
Family support
Sessions built to strengthen the people around you, run on video when getting everyone into one room is the hard part.
Recovery coaching
Practical, trauma-informed support alongside the clinical hours, aimed at the week between sessions.
Access and evidence
Why this format fits Sedalia.
Choosing The Redpoint Center means opting for a treatment provider that understands the unique challenges faced by Sedalia residents. We prioritize local accessibility, offer HIPAA-compliant technology for secure sessions, and accept most major insurance plans.
The obvious worry about a screen is that it buys a lesser version of the program. The evidence does not support that. A systematic review of telemedicine for substance use treatment covering 13 studies, 7 of them randomized controlled trials, found no significant difference in substance use outcomes between in-person and telehealth care, with treatment satisfaction and therapeutic alliance generally comparable. The American Psychological Association describes the same pattern in mental health care, where telehealth is essentially as effective as face-to-face psychotherapy, with higher retention.
Clinicians work in cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, EMDR, and acceptance and commitment therapy, chosen around what you are working on rather than a fixed curriculum. Sessions run on secure, HIPAA-compliant video, and the confidentiality rules that apply in our offices apply online. Our in-person IOP page sets out what intensive outpatient care involves in full.
In person
An office, if you would rather.
Virtual IOP is a full program, not a stopgap, and most people who start it finish it on video. But telehealth is a choice here rather than a constraint: The Redpoint Center is a Colorado provider with six offices around the state, and the Denver metro area is served by our Thornton office.
Some people start on video and move in person later. Some do the reverse when a job changes or winter closes a pass. Some split the difference, keeping group online and coming in for individual sessions. Admissions can talk through which shape fits, and switching later does not mean starting over.
