Colorado
Virtual IOP for Denver.
As the vibrant capital of Colorado, Denver is home to a diverse population facing unique mental health and substance use challenges. With its bustling urban environment and access to outdoor activities, life in Denver can be both exhilarating and overwhelming, making comprehensive care essential. The Redpoint Center's Virtual IOP is designed to meet the needs of Denver residents, ensuring they have the support necessary to thrive.
Our Virtual IOP is accessible to all Colorado residents, including those in nearby communities like Aurora, Lakewood, and Westminster. We understand that everyday responsibilities can make it challenging to seek help, which is why we offer sessions in the mornings and evenings, three to five days a week, providing the flexibility needed for work, school, and family commitments.
At The Redpoint Center, we prioritize a holistic approach to treatment, addressing mental health issues such as anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, and substance use disorders, including alcohol and opioids. Our evidence-based modalities, including CBT, DBT, EMDR, and ACT, are tailored to each individual's needs. We welcome Denver residents to take the first step toward recovery with our insurance-accepted services, ensuring you receive the quality care you deserve.
The barrier here is usually the clock rather than the map. Intensive outpatient care asks for three to five sessions a week, and once a commute is attached to each one, the program starts competing with a shift, a pickup time, or a caregiving hour it was never going to win. Our Virtual IOP across Colorado removes the drive, which for most people is the part that made the schedule impossible.
Substance use and mental health
What we treat.
Mental health conditions on their own, substance use, and the two together. The same care, and the same evidence-based modalities, we provide in our Colorado offices.
In session
What your week looks like.
Sessions run three to five days a week, mornings or evenings, so the schedule can be built around work, school, or childcare.
Individual therapy
One-to-one sessions with your primary clinician, focused on what you are actually working on.
Group therapy
Live groups with the same peers each week. Nothing is pre-recorded, and that steady room is a large part of why the format holds up.
Family support
Sessions built to strengthen the people around you, run on video when getting everyone into one room is the hard part.
Recovery coaching
Practical, trauma-informed support alongside the clinical hours, aimed at the week between sessions.
Access and evidence
Why this format fits Denver.
Choosing The Redpoint Center means opting for a compassionate and understanding approach to mental health and addiction recovery. Our team of licensed professionals is dedicated to providing care that is tailored to the unique needs of Denver residents. We ensure that all sessions are conducted through a HIPAA-compliant secure video platform, prioritizing your privacy and comfort.
The obvious worry about a screen is that it buys a lesser version of the program. The evidence does not support that. A systematic review of telemedicine for substance use treatment covering 13 studies, 7 of them randomized controlled trials, found no significant difference in substance use outcomes between in-person and telehealth care, with treatment satisfaction and therapeutic alliance generally comparable. The American Psychological Association describes the same pattern in mental health care, where telehealth is essentially as effective as face-to-face psychotherapy, with higher retention.
Clinicians work in cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, EMDR, and acceptance and commitment therapy, chosen around what you are working on rather than a fixed curriculum. Sessions run on secure, HIPAA-compliant video, and the confidentiality rules that apply in our offices apply online. Our in-person IOP page sets out what intensive outpatient care involves in full.
In person
An office, if you would rather.
Virtual IOP is a full program, not a stopgap, and most people who start it finish it on video. But telehealth is a choice here rather than a constraint: The Redpoint Center is a Colorado provider with six offices around the state, and the Denver metro area is served by our Thornton office.
Some people start on video and move in person later. Some do the reverse when a job changes or winter closes a pass. Some split the difference, keeping group online and coming in for individual sessions. Admissions can talk through which shape fits, and switching later does not mean starting over.
