Alec Manalac-Kwasna, (MA, LPC) is a Licensed Professional Counselor who believes in treating the whole-person by employing a multi-disciplinary and client-centered approach to counseling, psychotherapy, and mentorship. Mindfulness, compassion, empowerment, and a deep confidence in the ability of each individual to realize their full potential is at the heart of his approach to counseling. He believes that caring for people means caring about them and accomplishes this by working alongside clients as a supportive presence, empathic guide, and thought collaborator who assists individuals in exploring possibilities and pathways to change and transformation. Alec has years of experience working with diverse populations while treating mental-health and substance use disorders and incorporates a diverse array of therapeutic modalities in his approach to counseling such as Gestalt, Mindfulness-Based Counseling, Transpersonal Counseling, Depth Psychology, CBT, and DBT. In addition to his experience treating mental health and substance use disorders, Alec is also a coach and practicioner of Brazillian Jiu Jitsu as well as a multi-instrumentalist who enjoys training BJJ and playing music in his spare time.
