Gavin Schroeder, MS, LPCC, specializes in adolescent, young adult, and family counseling, offering a collaborative and strength-based approach to therapy. With a background in psychology from St. John’s University (BA, 2020) and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Viterbo University (MS, 2023), Gavin brings a deep understanding of human behavior, motivation, and family systems to his practice.
Gavin is passionate about helping individuals navigate life transitions, behavioral and emotional distress, anxiety, depression, family conflict, and substance use concerns. He has extensive experience supporting at-risk youth and families, particularly in the context of communication struggles, emotional regulation, and relational dynamics. His approach focuses on addressing underlying patterns, enhancing self-efficacy, and fostering meaningful, lasting change.
Trained in Multisystemic Therapy (MST), Functional Family Therapy (FFT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI), Gavin integrates evidence-based techniques to help clients identify their values, build resilience, and create sustainable growth. He emphasizes self-discovery and autonomy while incorporating mindfulness, nature connection, and the mind-body relationship into therapy.
Known for his easy-going and welcoming presence, Gavin creates a therapeutic space where clients feel heard, empowered, and supported in their journey toward healing and self-understanding. When not serving clients, Gavin enjoys playing and watching ANY sports, (Go Minnesota Timberwolves and Vikings!), playing card games, like cribbage and euchre, and spending time with family and friends on hikes and in nature.
