Eric brings an eclectic background to his therapeutic work. After earning a bachelor’s degree in religious studies from Hampshire College in 2009, he worked as a behavioral health technician with struggling adolescents and their families before returning to school to pursue a Master’s in Social Work in 2022.
During his final year in graduate school, Eric worked as a therapist at a residential treatment program for adults dealing with mental health issues and substance abuse. He enjoyed the passionate community of clients and staff he met there and is excited to join the Redpoint Center team.
He specializes in using motivational interviewing, acceptance and commitment therapy, and experiential therapy techniques to help clients struggling with substance abuse, anxiety, depression, and trauma. He believes strongly in people’s innate ability to heal and the power of human connection and understanding to (re)shape how we see ourselves and the world around us.
In addition to his work at the Redpoint Center, Eric is an internationally licensed Mountain Guide. He has climbed and guided worldwide, leading everything from Denali expeditions to 50-day canoe trips on the Alaskan Coast. In his spare time, he enjoys, reading, cooking, playing music, and hiking with his 10lb Chihuahua, Leonard.
