Wyoming
Virtual IOP for Saddlestring.
Saddlestring, a charming community nestled near the eastern edge of the Bighorn National Forest, faces unique challenges typical of rural Wyoming. Residents may encounter limited access to specialized mental health and addiction services, making The Redpoint Center’s Virtual Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) an invaluable resource. This program offers comprehensive care that fits seamlessly into the lives of those juggling work, family, and other obligations.
Our Virtual IOP is designed to serve not just Saddlestring residents, but also individuals from nearby communities. With sessions available in the mornings and evenings, participants can easily integrate treatment into their daily routines, ensuring they receive the support they need without sacrificing other commitments.
The Redpoint Center employs a holistic and evidence-based approach to treatment, addressing various mental health issues, including anxiety and depressive disorders, as well as substance use disorders and co-occurring conditions. Our licensed professionals utilize modalities like CBT, DBT, EMDR, and ACT to provide tailored care.
Distance is the recurring problem, not the exception. A narrative review of 15 studies of telehealth across rural American communities found improved access, lower travel cost and time, and higher patient satisfaction, including access to care those residents could not otherwise obtain. Our Virtual IOP across Wyoming is built around that reality, and it runs the same way in Saddlestring as it does anywhere else in the state.
Substance use and mental health
What we treat.
Mental health conditions on their own, substance use, and the two together. The same care, and the same evidence-based modalities, as in our Colorado offices.
In session
What your week looks like.
Sessions run three to five days a week, mornings or evenings, so the schedule can be built around shift work, seasonal work, school, or childcare.
Individual therapy
One-to-one sessions with your primary clinician, focused on what you are actually working on.
Group therapy
Live groups with the same peers each week. Nothing is pre-recorded, and that steady room is a large part of why the format holds up.
Family support
Sessions built to strengthen the people around you, run on video when they live an hour of driving apart.
Recovery coaching
Practical, trauma-informed support alongside the clinical hours, aimed at the week between sessions.
Access and privacy
Why this format fits Saddlestring.
Saddlestring residents should consider The Redpoint Center for its deep understanding of rural community needs and its commitment to accessible care. We prioritize privacy with HIPAA-compliant technology, ensuring that all interactions are secure.
The obvious worry about a screen is that it buys a lesser version of the program. The evidence does not support that. A systematic review of telemedicine for substance use treatment covering 13 studies, 7 of them randomized controlled trials, found no significant difference in substance use outcomes between in-person and telehealth care, with treatment satisfaction and therapeutic alliance generally comparable. The American Psychological Association describes the same pattern in mental health care, where telehealth is essentially as effective as face-to-face psychotherapy, with higher retention.
Clinicians work in cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, EMDR, and acceptance and commitment therapy, chosen around what you are actually working on rather than a fixed curriculum. Privacy tends to weigh heavier in a small community, where a truck parked outside a clinic is its own announcement, and attending from a space you choose removes that problem entirely. Our in-person IOP page sets out what intensive outpatient care involves in full.
