Colorado

Virtual IOP for Winter Park.

Winter Park, known for its breathtaking mountain landscapes and outdoor adventures, is home to a tight-knit community that values both recreation and wellness. However, residents may face unique challenges related to mental health and substance use, especially given the seasonal influx of visitors. The Redpoint Center's Virtual Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is designed to meet these needs effectively, providing essential support right from the comfort of home.

Our Virtual IOP is accessible to all Winter Park residents and those in surrounding communities like Fraser and Granby. With flexible scheduling options, including morning and evening sessions, participants can easily balance their treatment with work, school, and family commitments, ensuring that recovery remains a priority without disrupting daily life.

The Redpoint Center employs a comprehensive approach to treatment, offering specialized care for mental health conditions such as anxiety and depression, as well as substance use disorders. Our evidence-based modalities, including CBT, DBT, EMDR, and ACT, are tailored to each individual's needs. We accept most major insurance plans, making it easier for Winter Park residents to access the help they deserve. Reach out today to learn more about our Virtual IOP.

Distance is the recurring problem, not the exception. A narrative review of 15 studies of telehealth across rural American communities found improved access, with lower travel cost and time and higher patient satisfaction, including specialty care those residents could not otherwise reach. Our Virtual IOP across Colorado is built around that reality, and it runs the same way in Winter Park as it does anywhere else in the state.

In session

What your week looks like.

Sessions run three to five days a week, mornings or evenings, so the schedule can be built around work, school, or childcare.

Individual therapy

One-to-one sessions with your primary clinician, focused on what you are actually working on.

Group therapy

Live groups with the same peers each week. Nothing is pre-recorded, and that steady room is a large part of why the format holds up.

Family support

Sessions built to strengthen the people around you, run on video when getting everyone into one room is the hard part.

Recovery coaching

Practical, trauma-informed support alongside the clinical hours, aimed at the week between sessions.

Access and evidence

Why this format fits Winter Park.

Choosing The Redpoint Center means selecting a provider that understands the unique needs of Winter Park residents. Our team is dedicated to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care while ensuring HIPAA-compliant technology for secure communication. We accept most major insurance plans, making treatment accessible and convenient.

The obvious worry about a screen is that it buys a lesser version of the program. The evidence does not support that. A systematic review of telemedicine for substance use treatment covering 13 studies, 7 of them randomized controlled trials, found no significant difference in substance use outcomes between in-person and telehealth care, with treatment satisfaction and therapeutic alliance generally comparable. The American Psychological Association describes the same pattern in mental health care, where telehealth is essentially as effective as face-to-face psychotherapy, with higher retention.

Clinicians work in cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, EMDR, and acceptance and commitment therapy, chosen around what you are working on rather than a fixed curriculum. Sessions run on secure, HIPAA-compliant video, and the confidentiality rules that apply in our offices apply online. Our in-person IOP page sets out what intensive outpatient care involves in full.

In person

An office, if you would rather.

Virtual IOP is a full program, not a stopgap, and most people who start it finish it on video. But telehealth is a choice here rather than a constraint: The Redpoint Center is a Colorado provider with six offices around the state, and the mountain corridor is served by our Glenwood Springs office.

Some people start on video and move in person later. Some do the reverse when a job changes or winter closes a pass. Some split the difference, keeping group online and coming in for individual sessions. Admissions can talk through which shape fits, and switching later does not mean starting over.

Good to know

Virtual IOP questions, answered.

Who is eligible for Virtual IOP in Winter Park?

Virtual IOP sits between weekly therapy and residential care: more structure than an hour a week, without detox or 24-hour supervision. You need to be physically located in Colorado while you attend, plus a stable internet connection, a device with a camera, and somewhere private to speak. You do not need to be technical. A short call with admissions settles whether it is the right level for you.

Will I ever have to come into an office?

No. Virtual IOP is delivered entirely over secure video, and no part of the program requires an in-person visit. Redpoint does have six Colorado offices, including Glenwood Springs, so coming in is available if you would prefer it or if your needs change, but it is an option rather than a requirement.

Does insurance cover Virtual IOP?

Most major plans cover intensive outpatient treatment, including the virtual format. Redpoint accepts Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Carelon Behavioral Health, Cigna, First Health Network, Kaiser Permanente, Rocky Mountain Health Plans, Select Health, TRICARE, and United Healthcare, and we can accept some Colorado Medicaid policies.
