Colorado
Virtual IOP for Hugo.
Situated in the scenic plains of Lincoln County, Hugo, Colorado, is a tight-knit community where residents often face unique challenges related to mental health and substance use. The Redpoint Center's Virtual Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) offers a crucial resource for those in need of support, providing a convenient and effective way to address these issues while maintaining daily responsibilities.
Our Virtual IOP program is designed specifically for residents of Hugo and surrounding areas, ensuring that individuals can access vital mental health and addiction treatment from the comfort of their homes. With sessions available in the mornings or evenings, participants can easily balance work, school, and family obligations while prioritizing their recovery journey.
At The Redpoint Center, we take a comprehensive approach to mental health and addiction treatment. Our services encompass various areas, including anxiety and depressive disorders, substance use disorders, and co-occurring disorders. Utilizing evidence-based modalities like CBT, DBT, EMDR, and ACT, we offer personalized care to help you thrive. We accept insurance from most major providers, making it easier for Hugo residents to take that first step toward healing.
Distance is the recurring problem, not the exception. A narrative review of 15 studies of telehealth across rural American communities found improved access, with lower travel cost and time and higher patient satisfaction, including specialty care those residents could not otherwise reach. Our Virtual IOP across Colorado is built around that reality, and it runs the same way in Hugo as it does anywhere else in the state.
Substance use and mental health
What we treat.
Mental health conditions on their own, substance use, and the two together. The same care, and the same evidence-based modalities, we provide in our Colorado offices.
In session
What your week looks like.
Sessions run three to five days a week, mornings or evenings, so the schedule can be built around work, school, or childcare.
Individual therapy
One-to-one sessions with your primary clinician, focused on what you are actually working on.
Group therapy
Live groups with the same peers each week. Nothing is pre-recorded, and that steady room is a large part of why the format holds up.
Family support
Sessions built to strengthen the people around you, run on video when getting everyone into one room is the hard part.
Recovery coaching
Practical, trauma-informed support alongside the clinical hours, aimed at the week between sessions.
Access and evidence
Why this format fits Hugo.
Choosing The Redpoint Center means partnering with a team that understands the unique needs of Hugo residents. We accept most major insurance providers, facilitating access to care. Our HIPAA-compliant technology protects your privacy and security while engaging in treatment.
The obvious worry about a screen is that it buys a lesser version of the program. The evidence does not support that. A systematic review of telemedicine for substance use treatment covering 13 studies, 7 of them randomized controlled trials, found no significant difference in substance use outcomes between in-person and telehealth care, with treatment satisfaction and therapeutic alliance generally comparable. The American Psychological Association describes the same pattern in mental health care, where telehealth is essentially as effective as face-to-face psychotherapy, with higher retention.
Clinicians work in cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, EMDR, and acceptance and commitment therapy, chosen around what you are working on rather than a fixed curriculum. Sessions run on secure, HIPAA-compliant video, and the confidentiality rules that apply in our offices apply online. Our in-person IOP page sets out what intensive outpatient care involves in full.
In person
An office, if you would rather.
Virtual IOP is a full program, not a stopgap, and most people who start it finish it on video. But telehealth is a choice here rather than a constraint: The Redpoint Center is a Colorado provider with six offices around the state, and Weld County and the eastern plains is served by our Greeley office.
Some people start on video and move in person later. Some do the reverse when a job changes or winter closes a pass. Some split the difference, keeping group online and coming in for individual sessions. Admissions can talk through which shape fits, and switching later does not mean starting over.
