Amanda "AJ" Smith is a Licensed Addictions Counselor and Mental Health Therapist who recently moved to the mountains to be closer to nature. She holds a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, specializing in Transpersonal Wilderness Therapy from Naropa University in Boulder, CO. AJ has worked in treatment centers, IOP, and PHP for 7+ consecutive years and has a passion for helping people heal from addictions. Her training includes a certification in Infant, Early Childhood, and Family Mental health, which she brings to her work with adults to focus on relationships, trauma, and whole family and community systems. AJ's background includes a bachelor's degree in Neurosciences as well as experience conducting research in social neuroscience at Yale University and her alma mater, which inform her therapy practice today. On weekends and evenings, AJ can be found in a tent or on a trail with her friends, partner, and dog.
