Cheyenne Morris, LCSW, is dedicated to helping adolescents and families navigate the complexities of mental health with a future-oriented, strengths-based approach. With over a decade of experience working with teens in various levels of care—including inpatient, outpatient, emergency psychiatric services, and community mental health.
Cheyenne believes that therapy is about rediscovering the hopes and dreams that may have been set aside due to struggles with depression, anxiety, suicidality, or substance use. She works alongside teens and families to rebuild a sense of belonging, strengthen connections, and develop appropriate boundaries. Her therapeutic approach incorporates systemic family therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), ensuring that each adolescent receives individualized, comprehensive care. Understanding that a teen’s mental health is shaped by multiple factors—including family dynamics, school environments, peer influences, and the overwhelming presence of social media—Cheyenne emphasizes the importance of identity development beyond outside validation. She supports teens in redefining self-acceptance and aligning with their values, helping them navigate the pressures of modern adolescence. Cheyenne is also a strong advocate for the power of community in mental health. She believes that healing happens not in isolation but through connection—whether that’s through family relationships, extracurricular activities, or engaging in passions that provide a sense of purpose, finding the right community can be a crucial piece of a teen’s recovery journey.
In her personal life, Cheyenne loves spending time with her (very energetic and wild) daughters and husband. To keep up with them, she enjoys running and training for marathons. Once her kids and her hobbies tire her out completely, her nose can be found in a fantasy book with a nice cup of home-brewed coffee (probably a latte).
