Our Colorado Mental Health Team.

The substance use disorder and mental health treatment team at Redpoint Center are diverse in practice and unified in purpose. Because each of our clients is unique and will respond to their treatment as such, our team offers multidisciplinary therapeutic interventions. Each modality is designed to heal individuals in a way that yields lasting change. What’s more, each component of client care is overseen under the direction of our expert team and available onsite at Redpoint Center programs. Redpoint Center’s treatment team is led by our esteemed Medical Director, Dr. Honor Ashbaugh, who has 20+ years of experience in the field. The team also includes psychiatric nurse practitioners, case management experts, and coaching performed by CCAR-certified recovery coaches or CACI or above. In addition, we have a full-time family advocate who works closely with families to walk them through their own journey of recovery. Dr. Ashbaugh, MD, has expertise in treating substance abuse and mental health disorders and oversees every aspect of treatment with compassion and awareness. Her team is passionate about developing a strong therapeutic attachment to patients to facilitate sustainable recovery and healing.

Redpoint has 200+ years of treatment experience, 100+ years of recovery expertise, all masters-level clinicians, LPC’s, LCSW’s, CAC’s, and professionals that come from the best treatment centers in the US. Our curriculum hails from some of the best and most current minds in treatment. Our staff is not only experienced and talented, but they go the extra mile for the client, always. Donnie Hagenbart

Donnie Hagenbart

CEO

With over 10 years in the treatment of substance abuse and mental health space, Donnie has dedicated himself to the help of those struggling with substance abuse and finding their purpose in life. As Redpoint’s CEO, Donnie oversees the day to day operations and primary passion is helping those find treatment. Donnie strives to ensure that Redpoint continues to provide exceptional care to those struggling with mental health and substance abuse.

Donnie began working in the addiction treatment industry in 2010 and has worked in many capacities including; admissions, business development, program development, referral relations, and case management. He has worked with some of the nations best substance abuse and mental health providers to help those in need. His passion and dedication come from his own personal journey in recovery. When he’s not helping others, Donnie enjoys working out, mountain biking, spending time with his friends in recovery, and enjoying the greatness that Colorado has to offer.

Honor K. Ashbaugh, MD

Honor K. Ashbaugh, MD

Medical Director

Dr. Ashbaugh received her medical degree with honors and trained at the prestigious University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. She has over 20 years of experience as a licensed and board-certified Internal Medicine physician. While working as a primary care physician in the past, Dr. Ashbaugh has always had a passion for treating mental health problems. Striving for more knowledge of mental health problems, their diagnosis and treatment, Dr. Ashbaugh participated in and completed the Train New Trainers Primary Care Psychiatry Fellowship at The University of California, Irvine, School of Medicine, in December of 2021. With over 20 years of experience as a general internal medicine specialist, Dr. Ashbaugh has vast experience treating adolescents and adults for complicated physical illness, mental health disorders, and addiction, and is passionate about developing a strong therapeutic relationship with her patients in order to facilitate their recovery and healing. With her knowledge and personable bedside manner, Dr. Ashbaugh aims to get to know her patients as individuals and guides them through the medical aspects of their recovery. Unlike the Medical Directors of other substance abuse and mental health Intensive Outpatient treatment programs, Dr. Ashbaugh remains onsite at the Redpoint Center and dedicates all of her time to the treatment of our clients. Dr. Ashbaugh truly empathizes with all of her clients and draws from her own personal journey in recovery.

Nikki Summers, LCSW, LAC

Nikki Summers, LCSW, LAC

Clinical Director

Nikki Summers, LCSW, CAC II, received her Bachelor of Social Work at The University of Texas at Austin in 1995 and her Master of Social work at The University of Texas at Arlington in 1996. She has practiced psychotherapy for the past 22 years in various settings. In the beginning of her career, she focused on treating children, adolescents, teens and their families. In 2016, she worked in an Intensive Outpatient and a Partial Hospitalization facility for substance dependence as a therapist and the clinical director. Nikki transferred to Redpoint Center in 2018 to continue devoting her time to treating adults, who struggle with substance abuse and dependence. She specializes in treating individuals with substance abuse and dependence, mood and anxiety disorders, personality disorders, obsessive compulsive disorders, attention deficit disorders and trauma. Her passion for her career stems from her personal struggles in life and brings an empathetic approach to her clients. When Nikki is not working, she spends her time with her two daughters when they feel like it and if she is lucky.

Taylor Cole

Taylor Cole

Executive Director

Taylor brings over 15 years of experience in mental health and substance abuse recovery field. Prior to joining Redpoint, Taylor worked closely with clients and their families as a Case Manager, Family Advocate, Admissions Director and Director of Operations in a number of programs across Northern Colorado. Taylor’s desire to facilitate individuals and families develop internal resiliency and a deeper understanding of substance abuse and mental health has drawn her to the work. Taylor believes that each client and their loved ones have the capacity to heal and grow, no matter what the circumstances are. When not serving clients and their families, Taylor spends her time in the outdoors with her two sons enjoying all Colorado has to offer. And LEGO’s. Lots of LEGO’s.

Charlie Bakalars, LPC, MA

Charlie Bakalars, LPC, MA

Northern Colorado Program Manager

Charlie received his MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Northern CO in 2020. Charlie’s focus and approach to therapy includes developing a compassionate relationship with each other and providing a safe space where together you can better process and examine experiences, emotions, mental health, and interpersonal dynamics that influence the relationship we develop with substances. Charlie has training surrounding trauma informed addictions counseling techniques where he practices the use of somatic counseling and how to recognize our body’s natural messages and responses in hopes of developing a better relationship with ourselves. Charlie takes into consideration the whole person and all their experiences when working with someone. This means he strongly considers intersectionality of identities and validates the subjective experience that comes with those identities. Charlie is passionate about group counseling where he hopes to help group members connect to each other and feel safe enough to provide genuine and honest feedback to best support each other through their recovery process.

Rebecca Glasmann, CAS

Rebecca Glasmann, CAS

Primary Therapist

Rebecca has 10 years of experience in the treatment of substance abuse and mental health, and she holds a Certified Addiction Specialist license. For the past several years, Rebecca worked in one of the leading residential facilities for substance abuse, co-occurring disorders, and trauma treatment. She strongly feels that for an individual to maintain long term sobriety the underlying issues of mental health and trauma must also be addressed. In addition, she believes in strengthening and educating an individual’s support system, creating connections with community support groups, and implementing coping skills for successful daily living. She has training in Motivational Interviewing, Nonviolent Communication, Internal Family Systems, DBT, CBT and trauma recovery support. In recovery herself, she knows the journey individuals are embarking on and is passionate about sharing her experience, strength and hope each step of the way. When Rebecca is not helping others, she enjoys being outdoors - camping, hiking, paddleboarding. She has three children - two out of the nest and one about to leave the nest - although as we all know teenagers are rarely home to hang out with their parents unless you schedule it in advance.

Ashley Hastings, LAC

Ashley Hastings, LAC

Primary Therapist

Ashley Hastings, LAC, received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology at The University of Montana in 2015 and her master’s degree in Forensic Psychology at Argosy University of Phoenix in 2018. Ashley has 8+ years of experience in the field of addiction and mental health. Ashley has worked in outpatient settings and crisis response. Ashley’s’ most recent experience is in Co-Response with Larimer County, specializing in crisis de-escalation, emotional regulation, and safety planning. She helped connect her clients to the appropriate resources within the community. Ashley just recently joined the Redpoint team and is looking forward to helping people navigate through their recovery journey. When Ashley isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her family. They enjoy going camping, fishing, paddle boarding, and watching football.

Tim Mullins, LPC

Tim Mullins, LPC

Primary Therapist

Tim followed a roundabout path to becoming a counselor, having previously worked as a bilingual elementary school teacher, owner of a meat processing business, ski instructor, cook, and volleyball coach; among many others. He decided to become a counselor after the guidance of an excellent therapist and a 12-step program helped him recognize the damaging and dysfunctional patterns in his life, stop running, and turn things around. He has been a member of the 12 step fellowship Adult Children of Alcoholics and Dysfunctional Families for eight years, and specializes in helping clients understand how the way they were raised currently affects their thoughts, emotions, and attitudes about the world. He is passionate about helping people understand the importance of who they truly are, especially those who feel they have no voice. Outside of work Tim enjoys reading good fiction, playing tennis and pickleball, getting out on the water, and all things outdoors, especially chasing around elk with a bow and arrow in the fall.

Rodney Long, LPC, LAC

Rodney Long, LPC, LAC

Primary Therapist

Rodney received his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. Later in life he went back to school and earned his Master’s degree from the University of Nebraska at Kearney, concentrating his focus on Community Counseling and Co-Occurring disorders. He remains a loyal Cornhusker football fan to this day. Rodney has a passion for helping others find freedom from the bonds of substance disorders and healthy ways to cope with mental health difficulties. His goal is always to find the best fit for each client and uses a wide variety of approaches, including Mindfulness, CBT, and DBT during therapy. Rodney has worked in the recovery field for over 8 years in different settings, such as; in-patient transitional living, out-patient, private practice, and as the primary therapist for Routt County Drug Court. He believes group therapy is an essential component to helping people realize they are not alone in recovery, relearn social skills without substances, and receive a wide variety of feedback from different perspectives. Rodney has lived in the mountains of Colorado for over 15 years and enjoys skiing, snowboarding, fly fishing, mountain biking, and paddle boarding down the Colorado River.

Tonya Ramirez, LPCC

Tonya Ramirez, LPCC

Primary Therapist

Tonya received her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from the University of Colorado at Denver and then spent several years raising her children and working in education before returning to Adams State University to earn her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Her counseling experience includes residential substance use treatment as well as private practice. Tonya’s empathy and non-judgmental approach honor the uniqueness and dignity of each individual. She considers it a privilege to journey alongside clients from all walks of life as they navigate their recovery path, get to know themselves better, and discover who they are created to be. Tonya provides a safe, therapeutic relationship in which she collaborates with clients to grow toward healing, wholeness, and freedom. Using an integrative approach, she incorporates techniques to guide the transformation of clients’ thoughts, behaviors, emotions, and physiology. Tonya values the power of group therapy and the essential role of a supportive community, as well as knows the benefits of humor and appreciates a good belly laugh. When not serving her clients, Tonya loves spending every chance she gets with her two college-age kids and one high schooler. She can often be found walking her dog Amos, enjoying nature, playing board or card games, getting absorbed in a good book, cooking and baking wholesome food, or traveling to new places.

Erin Yaden, LPCC

Erin Yaden, LPCC

Primary Therapist

Erin received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Capella University in 2021 and is currently working toward her PsyD in the same field. She has over four years of experience treating adults and teens who struggle with addiction and other mental health disorders. Most recently, she served in an adolescent residential treatment facility outside Memphis, Tennessee, where she helped teens process trauma, regulate emotions, and interact with family members more positively. In her role as part of the Redpoint team, Erin is eager to help clients and their families navigate the recovery process and improve their relationships. In her personal time, she enjoys exploring Colorado’s beautiful natural settings with her husband and dog, Rory.

Patrick Goetz, CAT

Patrick Goetz, CAT

Admissions & Operations Manager

Patrick began his work in substance abuse and mental health treatment in 2020. Bringing his own personal experience, he is passionate about impacting and improving the lives of those seeking recovery. In addition to being a part of Redpoint Center's Business Development team, Patrick works as a recovery coach and interventionist while continuing to pursue his education in addictions counseling and social work. Prior to joining the Redpoint team, Patrick has worked closely with clients and families in admissions for a treatment center in Northern Colorado. He brings experience in building strong relationships with community partners and other treatment professionals. Patrick’s goal is to collaborate with organizations across the state of Colorado and nationwide to provide the best care for those seeking substance abuse and mental health treatment. When he is not serving his community in the addictions field, Patrick enjoys spending time with close friends in recovery, working out, re-watching episodes of Star Trek, and exploring the outdoors.

Samantha Jackson

Samantha Jackson

Office Manager

Samantha recently joined the Redpoint team to help people with addiction by showing them the same compassion, understanding, and respect that she was shown as a young adult in recovery. Samantha is currently attending school for addiction counseling to higher her education on how the other side of addiction works. She hopes to show individuals that you can be sober and still live a full, authentic, and fun life. Samantha is excited to start her journey in helping people live their absolute best life. When she’s not working Samantha likes to spend her time starting new art projects that quickly turn into a year long process, eating anything sweet, and playing with her son when he’s not driving her crazy.

Andy Lopez

Sober Living Manager

A former Redpoint Center client, Andy is house manager for Redpoint's sober living and also serves as an office administrator. Andy was president for the Oxford sober living house organization in Boulder County, as well as working for mental health partners in clinical pharmacy in Boulder. He enjoys snowboarding, hiking, playing music, and exploring in the rocky mountains. Andy loves being able to work in recovery because he knows how much treatment centers can guide others to their full potential in sobriety.

Parker

Therapy Dog

Meet our furriest team member! Parker is a 5 year old yellow lab who specializes in brightening peoples’ days. Parker was born on May 31, 2013 in Kansas and found his forever home in Colorado eight weeks later. Since he was a puppy, Parker had a sweet and gentle nature that he wanted to share with all the people in his life. His love of people and his calming, intuitive, and joyful personality made him a great fit for therapy. In June 2018 Parker joined our team at Redpoint as our official therapy dog. Parker enjoys snuggles, naps, belly rubs, chasing sticks, and playing fetch. His main passions include food and spreading his canine love with his big brown eyes.
