Nicole earned her Bachelor of Arts in Social Studies Secondary Education from the University of Wyoming in 2007. Her interest in learning about people in a present and historical context is a passion, particularly in the areas of Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, History, and Geography, which tell us so much about the human experience. Nicole then earned her Master of Science in Counseling from the CACREP-accredited program at the University of Wyoming in 2013. She has worked in Education for eighteen years helping adolescents, youth, and their families navigate social, emotional and academic barriers and goals. Her mental health experience was particularly honed as a School-Based Therapist helping young people with a wide variety of mental health and life circumstances. Other work experiences have included leadership positions at the college level including career counseling, program management and oversight. Nicole currently holds her LPCC with the state of Colorado and is excited to work towards her goals of completing her LPC and LAT with the Redpoint Center.
Nicole prioritizes, above all, non-judgemental and unconditional positive regard for clients in their stories, journey and goals. She seeks to help clients find a level of self-awareness to recognize and heal past sources of trauma in order to live a rewarding and fulfilling life. It is her priority to always be open-minded and approachable to all. She is beyond grateful to be in a career that fulfills her passion to support others to the fullest!
On a personal note, Nicole was born and raised in Wyoming and has enjoyed living in Colorado for six years now. Her passions include quality time with her sons and family, and being outdoors cycling, hiking, and playing Pickleball, to name a few. She likewise is an avid sports fan, regularly enjoying following the NFL and NHL. Above all, Nicole is a dedicated lifelong learner and is privileged to be a part of The Redpoint Center team to help others with awareness and healing in their lives.
