Cody Gardner

Cody Gardner

Founder/Owner

With 10+ years of experience in the behavioral health field, Cody leads from a unique set of experiences from his time in both the public and private sector. Cody first began his career working in publicly funded group homes for adolescent boys and girls with behavioral, cognitive and mental health disorders. From there Cody spent over 5 years working as a Probation Officer in several judicial districts in Colorado. Most notably, from 2010 to 2014 Cody was the Lead Probation Officer for the Denver Drug Court. While there, he individually worked with hundreds of clients and oversaw the case processing of thousands. During his time in the Justice system, Cody helped to implement evidence based practices and policies. He also created various specialized Drug Court programs that targeted complex populations. Cody’s daily mission was to help men and women in the justice system find a path to recovery and a way out of the system.

Following his work in the Justice system Cody has held a handful of positions in the private behavioral health field. Those ranged from regional marketing representative for a well-known extended care program in Connecticut, to the Director of Operations of a startup substance use disorder program in Colorado. Cody most recently was the Chief Operating Officer of Huffman Health, a behavioral health organization headquartered in southern California. He has also served as a consultant for various centers nationwide.

When not working, Cody can be found with his family at local parks, hiking, or traveling the world. Cody is also an avid Handball player and travels each year to play in tournaments and pick-up games.

Honor K. Ashbaugh, MD

Honor K. Ashbaugh, MD

Medical Director

Dr. Ashbaugh received her medical degree with honors and trained at the prestigious University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. She has over 20 years of experience as a licensed and board-certified Internal Medicine physician. With over 20 years of experience as a general internal medicine specialist, Dr. Ashbaugh has vast experience treating adolescents and adults for complicated physical illness, mental health disorders and addiction, and is passionate about developing a strong therapeutic attachment with her patients in order to facilitate their recovery and healing. Unlike medical directors of many other substance abuse treatment programs, Dr. Ashbaugh remains onsite at the Redpoint Center and dedicates all of her time to the treatment of their clients.

Donnie Hagenbart

Executive Director

Donnie began working in the addiction treatment industry in 2010 and has worked in many capacities including; admissions, business development, program development, referral relations, and case management. Donnie’s most recent role was the National Marketing Director for a well-established men’s aftercare program here in Colorado. His passion and dedication come from his own personal journey in recovery and a strong passion to help others.

Here at Redpoint, Donnie is in charge of all business relationships and business development both locally and nationally. He will work closely with the executive team on the growth of Redpoint and how we can best help those in need.

When he’s not helping others, Donnie enjoys working out, spending time with his friends in recovery, and enjoying the greatness that Colorado has to offer.

Nikki Summers, LCSW, CAC II

Nikki Summers, LCSW, CAC II

Clinical Director

Nikki Summers, LCSW, CAC II received her Bachelor of Social Work at The University of Texas at Austin in 1995 and her Master of Social work at The University of Texas at Arlington in 1996. Nikki is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization. She has practiced psychotherapy for the past 22 years in various settings. In the beginning of her career, she focused on treating children, adolescents, teens and their families in an outpatient, in-home and residential setting. She has also worked with individuals, couples and families in a private practice setting. In 2011, Nikki gained an interest in working with individuals with substance abuse and dependence issues. At that point, she began working in a correctional facility treating women in a 90-day program for substance abuse and dependence. In 2016, she worked in an Intensive Outpatient and a Partial Hospitalization facility for substance dependence as a therapist and the clinical director.

Nikki then transferred to The Redpoint Center in 2018 to continue devoting her time to treating adults, who struggle with substance abuse and dependence. She specializes in treating individuals with substance abuse and dependence, mood and anxiety disorders, personality disorders, obsessive compulsive disorders, attention deficit disorders and trauma. She focuses her practice on using cognitive-behavioral, Gestalt, mindfulness, solution-focused, brief psychotherapy, trauma-informed and strengths-based approaches. Her passion for her career stems from her personal struggles in life and brings an empathetic approach to her clients. When Nikki is not working, she spends her time with her two daughters when they feel like it and if she is lucky.

Rachael Messaros

Rachael Messaros

Director of Admissions and Marketing

Rachael found the joys of sobriety at a young age and is passionate about helping others to find freedom from addiction. Rachael earned her Bachelor of Arts at University of Colorado and went on to work in a variety of industries where she developed her professional skills in marketing, small business development, management, and sales. During her time as resident manager at Pacific Shores Recovery in Southern California, she discovered her deep desire to put her professional development skills to work through helping people struggling with addiction and mental health challenges.

Wendy Stine

Wendy Stine

Northern Colorado Program Manager

Wendy comes to Redpoint a veteran in the treatment field, having worked 20 years locally and nationally. She is a certified interventionist, addiction counselor and in long term recovery. Her work on both clinical teams and in outreach has allowed her to follow her passion- helping clients and families find lasting and fulfilling recovery.

Meet our furriest team member! Parker is a 5 year old yellow lab who specializes in brightening peoples’ days. Parker was born on May 31, 2013 in Kansas and found his forever home in Colorado eight weeks later. Since he was a puppy, Parker had a sweet and gentle nature that he wanted to share with all the people in his life. His love of people and his calming, intuitive, and joyful personality made him a great fit for therapy. In June 2018 Parker joined our team at Redpoint as our official therapy dog.

Parker enjoys snuggles, naps, belly rubs, chasing sticks, and playing fetch. His main passions include food and spreading his canine love with his big brown eyes.

Erin Flynn

Erin Flynn

Primary Therapist

Erin received her Masters in Somatic Counseling Psychology with an emphasis on Body Psychotherapy from Naropa University. Erin is a Licensed Professional Counselor, LPC, who specializes in working with folks who are overcoming addiction and trauma. She brings her experience and training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, EMDR, group therapy, mindfulness training and the Twelve-Step model of recovery to her work at Redpoint Center. In her free time, Erin loves to roller skate, bike ride, dance and write.

Stephanie Winkler

Stephanie Winkler

MA, Registered Psychotherapist

Stephanie graduated from Naropa University with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health, where she studied counseling using a mindfulness-based lens. She has experience supporting individuals struggling with addiction, mental health issues, and trauma. What she appreciates most about her work in the mental health field is bearing witness to the beauty and resiliency of the human spirit, even in the midst of suffering. As a part of the Redpoint team, she is excited to support people as they connect with more joy and meaning in their lives. Stephanie believes that recovery is a deeply personal journey and trusts in the innate transformative potential that we all possess.
Stephanie is always in the middle of a good book, she loves going to punk rock shows, and as a Colorado native, spending time in the mountains is as necessary as breathing for her.

Samantha Jackson

Samantha Jackson

Samantha recently joined the Redpoint team to help people with addiction by showing them the same compassion, understanding, and respect that she was shown as a young adult in recovery. Samantha is currently attending school for addiction counseling to higher her education on how the other side of addiction works. She hopes to show individuals that you can be sober and still live a full, authentic, and fun life. Samantha is excited to start her journey in helping people live their absolute best life. When she’s not working Samantha likes to spend her time starting new art projects that quickly turn into a year long process, eating anything sweet, and playing with her son when he’s not driving her crazy.

Bridget Camacho

Bridget Camacho

Youth Program Manager

Bridget received her Masters in Social Work and her Animal Assisted Social Work Certificate from the University of Denver. Throughout her studies Bridget focused on mental health and how experiential therapy and animal assisted therapy can facilitate physical, emotional, and mental healing. Through this Bridget believes in the healing abilities of nature, animals, and community support and works to incorporate all three areas into her clinical practice. Bridget has worked with adolescents and their families throughout her career and enjoys working with youth to help them build self-confidence, strengthen their relationships, and find their paths in life.

Jay Fullam

Jay Fullam

Youth Program Therapist

Jay Fullam received his Masters in Contemplative Psychotherapy from Naropa University and graduated from the University of Colorado with a BA in Marketing. Jay has been working in the field of addictions for the last decade in a number of capacities. Jay’s journey began by mentoring men at Little Creek Lodge in Lake Ariel, PA in 2008. Upon graduating from the University of Colorado, he worked as life skills counseling at NorthStar Transitions, a primary mentor at AIM House transitional living program, and most recently as a therapist at the Harmony Foundation in Estes Park. As an active member of the recovery community since 2008, he works with struggling addicts and alcoholics to discover a healthy and happy way of living.

In overcoming his own struggles with substance abuse, Jay works to share his experience, strength, and hope with others in the recovery process. As a mentor, he believes in being proactive about one’s personal work in helping others discover their own inherent goodness. Jay looks to invoke one’s passions in setting clear goals and objectives to build and maintain a meaningful way of life and to help them overcome substance abuse and destructive patterns of self doubt.
